Lenin in London was first staged staged at the Torriano Meeting House in May 2003, from an original script written by Penny Dimond it was directed by Josh Darcy. The New Factory staged revivals of the work on two occasions, at, and as benefits for The Marx Memorial Library in September 2011 and June 2015.
The play itself is a short piece (less than an hour), focusing on the domestic life of Lenin during his pre-revolutionary visits to London. Set against the backdrop of a May Day rally at the Alexandra Palace in 1903, we see Lenin in public and private moments, both working and relaxing. The revivals were directed by Gary Merry.
